Honda 2 Wheels India has announced that the Africa Twin Adventure Sport will launch in the Indian market. This latest iteration of the company’s iconic adventure model features an updated color palette. Here are the top five highlights of the Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sport.

Africa Twin is a name deeply rooted in the Dakar spirit. The experience of winning the most challenging desert rally four times in a row, including the debut, is the original creation of the XRV650 Africa Twin. Africa Twin opens a new chapter for this myth. More powerful than ever, this car offers driving comfort while maintaining the ethics of the attractive Dakar NXR750 engine.

Design

That styling changed dramatically in 2020 when the Japanese brand was updated to meet the latest quality standards. As a result, model did not change any of the plans. Features of the list include large double-sided headlights, adjustable windshield, shock absorber, splitter splitter, flame retardant, aluminum foil, and unparalleled wheels.

The color is changed as described above, and the model manual transmission is sold in Black Metallic dark color. The DCT display, on the other hand, is offered in the Pearl Glare White Tricolor option. Honda offers several options of African Twin versions. This list includes top box, back bracket, motion ladder, DCT shift lever, fog switch and window cover.

Engine

The engine has a hydraulic connection of 1,084 cc which has a maximum power of 98 horsepower at 7,500 RPM / min and a maximum power of 103 Nm at 6,000 RPM / min. This bike is available with two gearbox options – a six-speed manual and a six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission.

Electronics

The electronic device includes driving aids such as wheel steering, rear lift control, ABS, ABS frame, five drive modes and DCT variable tilt analysis. The bike also packs features like bezel lights, entertainment features, heated handles and a 6.5-inch TFT touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth connectivity.

Hardware

The suspension setup includes Showa-sourced upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the back – both featuring a long travel. The brake arrangement includes two front discs and one ride at the rear. The motorcycle uses 21-inch spoked wheels with the front and 18-inch wheels printed on 90/90 and 150/70 tires.

Price

The DCT variant of the Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sport has been priced at Rs 20,25,697  while the manual transmission version is available for Rs 18,49,973 (both ex-showroom, Pune).
